The Fujairah Appellate Court looked into the case of a GCC woman charged with witchcraft against her stepdaughter.
Details date back to the time when a girl filed a complaint with the police against her stepmother, saying she did magic to her by pouring a yellow substance on her bed, causing changes in her life and harming her health.
The complainant explained she agreed with her brother to reveal the truth. Accordingly, her brother impersonated a woman and contacted the stepmother through WhatsApp and asked her to do magic to facilitate his affairs and she allegedly responded to him.
The complainant presented the calls between her brother and the stepmother as proof. The suspect denied the charges before the Appellate Court that adjourned the case to another session.
