Real Madrid will sign Paul Pogba in huge swap deal next week

express: Real Madrid want to sign Manchester United star Pogba this transfer window despite spending well over £200million on new recruits.

The La Liga giants have already had a fruitful summer, landing the likes of Ferland Mendy, Eden Hazard, Luka Modric and Eder Militao.

Pogba hinted that he wanted to leave Manchester United last month, saying: “There is a lot of thinking [going on].

“I have been three years in Manchester and have been doing great – some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody, like everywhere else

“After this season and everything that happened, with my season being my best season … it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.”

And, now, former head of Marca Inda has sensationally claimed that Real are on the cusp of landing Pogba.

He believes the transfer may be done by next week.

And he says that United are set to receive a transfer fee of £70million plus Gareth Bale and Toni Kroos as part of the operation.

“The Juventus thing is a trick of Raiola to raise the price,” he told Spanish TV station El Chiringuito.

“The only favorable thing for Pogba to go to Juventus is taxation.

“I think that next week, Pogba will be a new Real Madrid player.

“The issue is very advanced, Madrid offers 80 million euros in cash plus Bale, which they estimate is worth 90 euros.”

United have been linked with Real Madrid duo Kroos and Bale in the past.

But, now, Inda’s claim suggests the players will finally make the move to Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, former Red Devils ace Danny Higginbotham believes United should do everything they can to keep hold of Pogba.

“Paul Pogba, I know a lot of people have given him a lot of negativity during the season and after what he came out and said last weekend,” Higginbotham told Sky Sports’ Transfer Talk podcast.

“But if you can get him to stay at Manchester United and be happy, he would be the type of player I would build the team around.

“But you have to have the players around him to allow him to go and express himself.”
