dailystar: The potential deal to take Pogba to the Bernabeu is in deadlock with the two clubs struggling to agree a deal.
Manchester United are reluctant to sell the World Cup winner for less than £159m (€180m), according to Spanish football journalist Eduardo Inda.
Real Madrid, who have agreed a £130m deal for Chelsea superstar Eden Hazard, will not bid more than £111m (€125m) plus £22m (€25m) in add-ons.
Rodriguez, who has returned to the Bernabeu after a two-year loan spell at Bayern Munich, is not wanted by Zinedine Zidane.
And Real Madrid bigwigs believe they can use the 27-year-old as leverage to secure an agreement with their Old Trafford counterparts.
“Pogba is very complicated at this moment,” Inda said on Spanish television programme El Chiringuito de Jugones.
“It is the great star of Manchester, Madrid offers 120 more incentives, which could reach 150. Manchester asks for 180.”
Zidane, who returned to the Bernabeu dugout in March, is eager to add Pogba to his midfield.
Despite being open to offering Rodriguez in part-exchange, Real Madrid will not sanction a deal if it amounts to merely giving the Colombian away.
Rodriguez joined Los Blancos for €90m (£71m) in 2014 after winning the World Cup Golden Boot.
He arrived with high expectations but struggled to convince, scoring 36 goals in 111 appearances before being shipped off the Bayern Munich on loan.
Rodriguez said farewell to the Bundesliga giants earlier this week after asking the club not to activate their permanent option.
“I am very grateful to the club and the fans, who always showed us tremendous support,” he said.
