Man Utd agrees £73.4million signing of England Player

thefaithfulmufc: Manchester United have confirmed their second signing of the summer by securing the signature of England international Aaron Wan-Bissaka (MUFC).

The transfer saga started in the middle of the last campaign (The Sun March 2019) and finally it has ended with the player moving to Old Trafford.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Red Devils have agreed deals worth £73.4million (agreement with club and the player) to seal the signing of the 21-year-old defender from Crystal Palace.

As per Sky Sports, the signing was secured after Man Utd agreed a deal worth £50million with the Eagles and a five year contract with Wan-Bissaka that will make him earn more than £80,000-a-week. The Sun have mentioned the same £50million transfer fee and as far as the terms are concerned, it is stated that the player will pocket £90,000-a-week – £23.4million in the next five years.

After officially moving to Old Trafford, the highly rated right back said (MUFC):

“I am excited to have finally signed for this team. Every kid wants to play for a team like this. I am grateful and it is an honour to represent this club.”

In the last campaign, United conceded 54 goals in the Premier League and even the likes of Wolves, Palace, Leicester, Newcastle United and Everton (who were below us in the table) had better defensive records than us.

As far as the left back position is concerned, Luke Shaw, who joined us back in 2014, had a top season and deservedly won the club’s Player of the Year award.

On the other hand, veteran Ashley Young mainly played in the right back role and the former Aston Villa man was highly inconsistent. So, we really needed a top quality right back and signing Wan-Bissaka is a major step in the right direction.

Antonio Valencia has already left the club and I would not mind if Young, who’ll turn 34 next month, departs as well. We do have a Portuguese full-back in the form of Diogo Dalot to cover for Wan-Bissaka.
