Pogba set for crunch talks
Manchester United are standing firm with Paul Pogba amid mounting uncertainty around his future.
United head to Australia on Sunday for a pre-season tour, and Pogba will fly out with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, report the Standard.
Pogba revealed he wants to leave Old Trafford with Solskjaer to sit down with the French international to discuss his future.
It’s reported the £89 million signing three years ago is ‘desperate’ to join Real Madrid.
Elsewhere at Old Trafford, Solskjaer has confirmed United are looking at two more signings this summer.
He told MUTV: “We’ve been good in the market. Still working on a case or two.
“I’ve been in touch with Joel (Glazer) and Ed (Woodward) and recruitment over summer.
“There will probably be some more business done, but we are happy with what we have done so far.”
Liverpool linked with Fulham starlet
Liverpool have been linked with a move for Fulham starlet Harvey Elliott.
The London Evening Standard report Barcelona, Real Madrid and RB Leipzig are also interested in the 16-year-old.
It is said he has turned down a new contract from the Cottagers and could leave West London this summer.
Fulham will be due compensation if Elliott signs for an English club but if joins a club on the continent it will be dramatically reduced.
The Anfield club have also been linked with a move for Real Betis full-back Junior Firpo.
Reports in Spain claim Liverpool will have to offer Divock Origi as part of a potential deal for the defender.
Mucho Deporte state the Reds must table at least £26.5million plus the Belgian to sign the left-back.
Chelsea star set for departure
Atletico Madrid are preparing a bid to bring Alvaro Morata to the Metropolitano Stadium.
The Telegraph report Chelsea have issued Diego Simeone’s side with an ultimatum: sign Morata or he will be recalled from his 18-month loan at the club, who he joined in January.
Everton striker linked with move away
Everton striker Henry Onyekuru is a transfer target for CSKA Moscow.
The Times report the Russian side have made contact with the Toffees about a move for Onyekuru, who is yet to feature for the Blues because of a work permit issue.
Arsenal move for international centre-back
Arsenal are in discussions with Brazilian side Gremio about the availability of centre-back Walter Kanneman, according to the Mirror.
The 28-year-old five-cap international is said to be of interest to Gunners boss Unai Emery.
Meanwhile, reports in Spain state that the Gunners are “focused” on Barcelona star Malcom.
Their interest goes back to his Bordeaux days, and with Wilfried Zaha now looking out of their reach, Emery has turned his attentions to the Brazilian.
Chelsea man’s future in doubt
Kasey Palmer has travelled with the rest of the Chelsea squad to Dublin for his side’s pre-season tour, report BristolLive.
New Blues boss Frank Lampard is keen to use the Stamford Bridge side’s youth, which could scupper a potential return to Bristol City. Meanwhile, Cardiff City star Josh Murphy says he’s full focused on getting the Bluebirds back in the Premier League amid interest from the Stamford Bridge side.
“I can tell you I took no notice of it [being linked with Chelsea]. I don’t know if there’s any truth in it, but I took no notice of it,” he said.
“I wouldn’t say it is a distraction, stuff like that is always going to happen. There is a fine line about it being true and not true.
“It is just something that I would never look into too deeply. It is the end of the season so you always get stuff like that. I see myself staying at Cardiff. Then we go from there.”
