metro: Juventus are preparing a new bid for Paul Pogba in the January transfer window and are willing to offer Mario Mandzukic and Emre Can to Manchester United as part of the deal. Pogba made it clear that he wanted to leave Old Trafford in the summer but despite interest from Real Madrid and Juventus, United stood firm and refused to sell the midfielder.
But United’s resolve will be tested once again in January as Pogba is reportedly still keen on a move away. According to Tuttosport, Juventus have retained their interest and are ready to offload Mandzukic and Can in return for Pogba.
The report also claims that Daniele Rugani could also be offered to United as he is unable to get a game under Maurizio Sarri. United, however, are unlikely to want Rugani given that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer already has several options at centre-back in Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Axel Tuanzebe, Phil Jones, Marcos Rojo and Eric Bailly.
Pogba is currently sidelined with an ankle injury and is recovering in Dubai during the international break. The World Cup winner missed United’s last two matches but will be looking to return for his side’s clash against Liverpool at Old Trafford on October 20.
