Chelsea shortlist two managers to replace Maurizio Sarri

thesportreview: The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Blues have placed Espirito Santo “near the top” of their wishlist and feel that he could reverse the west London outfit’s ailing fortunes.

The Portuguese head coach has impressed in the current campaign after Espirito Santo led Wolves to promotion before establishing Wolves in the Premier League.

The same article states that Chelsea FC legend Lampard would have obvious appeal, with the Blues supporters as a candidate to take over the reins from Sarri at the end of the season.

According to the same story, Blues owner Roman Abramovich is reluctant to part with Sarri’s services at the conclusion of a difficult Premier League campaign.

Chelsea FC lost their seventh Premier League game since the former Napoli manager took over the reins from his compatriot Antonio Conte last summer.

The Blues are in sixth place in the top-flight table and three points adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal in the race to secure the final Champions League spot.

Sarri suffered disappointment in the League Cup final at Wembley last month after Manchester City beat Chelsea FC on penalties.
