Chelsea have been offered a play-plus cash deal worth £50million by Barcelona to part ways with Willian this month, reports say. Barcelona tried to sign Willian last summer, but Chelsea blocked the move despite a bid of £65million being lodged. Willian was eager to join the Catalan giants and Barcelona have now moved to resurrect the transfer deal.
The Daily Mail claim Chelsea would recieve a deal worth £50m, that would include forward Malcom. Barcelona only signed Malcom from Bordeaux last summer in a £38m deal, but feel the Brazilian has failed to live up to his pricetag. Malcom has attracted the interest of several clubs this January including Premier League duo Everton and Arsenal.
A £45m bid for Malcom was reportedly submitted by a Chinese club, but the player is thought to want to stay in Spain at least until the end of the season. Chelsea may be convinced to sell Willian now that the Brazil international has turned 30 and has 18 months left on his contract. Blues boss Maurizio Sarri is desperate for reinforcements to his frontline this month, but is not keen on the idea of losing one of his attackers.
