Ariana Grande has become the latest celebrity to unveil a new tattoo this week but she may have a slight problem on her hands. The Thank U, Next singer appears to have gotten a tattoo right in the palm of her hand in either Chinese or Japanese characters.

But there’s debate over the meaning with some of Ari’s fans stating it means ‘7 rounds’ or ‘7 wheels’ likely in celebration of her latest single 7 Rings. However, others say the Japanese translation means, ahem, ‘BBQ grill’. Guess Ari really loves chicken wings.

Los Angeles-based tattoo artist Kane Navasard shared a photo of the popstar’s supposed new ink on Instagram with the caption: ‘If you didn’t know, @arianagrande is a G. #tattoo #singleneedle #losangeles #forthesinners.’

Ariana, 25, isn’t seen in the photo but a woman’s outstretched hand wearing a thick jumper is seen with the tattoo right in the middle of her hand. According to Inquisitr, Ari had posted a similar photo on her right hand side while there might or could be others who said it otherwise and then some to it. Ari had posted a similar photo on her Twitter account with a caption that said getting the tattoo done felt great and jokingly added she was ‘just kidding’.

In response to a follower who mentioned the BBQ grill translation and the fact the tattoo appears to be missing some characters, Ariana reportedly replied: ‘Indeed, I left out [Japanese characters] which should have gone in between.

It hurt like fuck n still looks tight. ‘I wouldn’t have lasted one more symbol lmao. But this spot also peels a ton and won’t last so if I miss it enough, I’ll suffer thru the whole thing next time.’
